FETCH Lab
At FETCH Lab, our research is organized around three core themes: daily functioning, circadian rhythms, and sleep health. Across these themes, we examine how social jetlag and daily rhythms shape everyday functioning, how occupational stress affects mental and physical well-being, and how sleep interventions and digital tools can support real-world mental health care.
Social Jetlag and Daily Rhythms

Weekend catch-up sleep may help compensate for sleep debt accumulated during weekdays, reflecting the protective role of the sleep homeostatic process. However, it often occurs together with delayed sleep timing on weekends, which may contribute to social jetlag and circadian misalignment. Our research foucs on this dual role of weekend catch-up sleep: its potential benefit in restoring sleep loss and its possible cost in disrupting circadian rhythms, with implications for daytime functioning, mood, and health.
Work-Family Conflict and Daily Functioning

This study examined how family-to-work conflict, gender, and work arrangements jointly shape sleep quality among working parents in Taiwan. Our findings showed that family-to-work conflict was a consistent risk factor for poorer sleep. Notably, under high family-to-work conflict, men reported poorer sleep quality than women.
Sleep Intervention and Digital Mental Health

This study validated the Chinese version of the E-Therapy Attitudes Measure among 1,483 Taiwanese adults with depressive or anxiety symptoms. The Chinese ETAM showed good reliability and validity. About half of participants held positive attitudes toward e-therapy, and greater openness was associated with lower stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms.
